Due to the expected constant humidity levels in the air of up to 90%, the interior of the Hamam was constructed using a dry construction method with special waterproof, cement-bonded panels.

To ensure sterility, the laboratories in the new Biologicum at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt needed to be constructed gas-tight. By using cement-bonded lightweight concrete panels combined with a PVC film as a gas-tight sealing layer, both the required tightness and necessary compressive strength were achieved.
